We live our lives from Instagram story to Instagram story, and we have the ability to capture some truly stunning imagery to garner those sweet, sweet likes. With 360-technology where it is now, we can literally capture every angle around us for some truly epic pics and videos. From floating rotating cameras to 360-camera add-ons for your phone to a phone that already has a 360-camera built-in, we’ve definitely evolved from the old days of panoramic picture.
But can we do better than sticking something on our devices or having an abnormally long phone in our pockets, right? With wearable tech on the rise, 360-cameras should be a more seamless experience, able to complement our style and capture our experiences from every angle. The FITT360 on Kickstarter aims to fill that role.
Originally unveiled under Samsung Electronics in 2016, FITT360 has since spun off to become the first and only neckband 360-degree camera. It requires no physical add-ons or complex contraptions. The hands-free camera is designed to fit comfortably around your neck (similar to the neckband that many Bluetooth headphones) to capture your first person view in full 360. People seem to love it, as it’s already received more than $320,000 in pledges out of its $50,000 goal.
The hands-free technology is meant for you to simply wear and hit record so that it can easily record your day as you have it on. The idea behind its unobtrusive neckband design is so that you can have a constant recording of your day and capture experiences as they happen. Sounds way better than keeping your phone poised in your hand 24/7. The image stabilization tech can supposedly protect your footage from any shaky cam potential too.
